A Bit About Me

Originally from Conway, Arkansas, I am currently living in Nashville, TN, as an Interior Designer. I graduated from the University of Arkansas Fay Jones School of Architecture + Design with my Bachelor of Interior Design degree and a minor in History of Architecture and Design. In school, I was an active member of the student chapter of ASID and Delta Gamma Sorority. I chose to pursue Design because I want to be able to craft an experience for people. Adaptive reuse and historic preservation are two subjects, thanks to my minor, my interest has piqued. I love when you can feel the history of a building and wonder what has happened there throughout the years, as well as taking an unused building and repurposing it for a new function so that it can continue its life. The way a person can manipulate the human experience through space facinates me. I have an interest in pursuing this fascination in retail, hospitality, and commercial design, as well as potentially exhibition and lighting design. In the summer of 2021, I obtained an internship and learned valuable practicalities of my field from seasoned professionals. During the summer of 2022, I studied abroad in Copenhagen.

Copenhagen was a dream. The city was an incredible mix of historic buildings with hundreds of years of history and new architecture with modern design technology. During my time abroad, I also visited Norway and Sweden.

Fun Facts

Favorite decades of music

Foods I wish I liked

My favorite places to travel

Countries I'd like to visit for their design and history

Favorite material to use

I adore music made in the 1970's and the 2000's. I have a great passion for music, so I could never pick one decade, let alone an individual song. One of my favorite things to do for fun is to listen to and lose myself in good music.

SUSHI! I wish I liked sushi.  Not only is it pretty to look at, but there is real artistry behind it that I admire.

New York City, Vail (Colorado), and Copenhagen. Since I was little, I've fantasized about living in a big city. I love urban areas because of the multitude of people and things to do/experience. Visiting iconic sites and museums, seeing shows or concerts, and trying new restaurants are all things I do whenever I visit a new place. Vail is my favorite spot to ski and is a special place from my childhood that my family would visit almost every year. As for Copenhagen, I've been obsessed with going to Europe my entire life, and it didn't disappoint.

Japan, Italy, and France. As an Architectural History minor, I find everything about these countries' histories and architecture compelling.

Wood! I am consistently drawn to wood for its variety of color, grain, texture, and ability to bring a sense of warmth to a space.
